The Truck Driver is responsible for safely operating a tractor-trailer to support daily logistics operations. This role ensures the efficient and timely movement of materials while maintaining compliance with all safety regulations and company policies.
- Operate a tractor-trailer to move trailers within the yard in a safe and efficient manner.
- Transport loads to and from designated job sites ("field") in accordance with delivery schedules.
- Transfer materials and products between company plants as required.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections, including a detailed end-of-shift vehicle inspection, and promptly report any mechanical issues, damage, or safety concerns to management.
- Maintain compliance with all applicable Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations, including proper documentation and recordkeeping.
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and safety standards to ensure a safe work environment.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, supervisors, and team members regarding load status, delays, or issues.
- Assist with additional duties as needed to support overall operations and team objectives.
