Railserve is hiring dependable, safety-focused Track Laborers in Texas to support track construction, maintenance, and inspection projects. This is a hands-on, outdoor role working as part of a team to ensure safe and efficient rail operations.

Job Description

In this role, you will perform physically demanding labor, assist with track installation and maintenance, and support field operations in a fast-paced environment.

If you enjoy working outdoors, being part of a team, and contributing to critical infrastructure projects, this role may be a great fit.

Schedule:
Full-time; schedule varies based on site and operational needs, including nights and weekends as required

Compensation:
Starting at $20.00 per hour (based on experience)

Duties

  • Drive spikes and assist with track installation and maintenance
  • Move and set cross ties and sections of rail
  • Shovel ballast and support track alignment
  • Adjust and lubricate switches
  • Tighten track bolts and hardware
  • Check track gauge and cross level
  • Carry and use track tools and equipment (including track jack ~40 lbs)
  • Follow all safety procedures and wear required PPE
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Ability to perform physically demanding labor in outdoor environments
  • Ability to lift, carry, and handle heavy materials and equipment
  • Ability to stand, walk, climb, and work on uneven terrain
  • Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
  • Strong work ethic and ability to work as part of a team
  • Ability to follow instructions and safety procedures
  • Basic math and reading comprehension skills
  • Military experience is a plus
