General Description


The Track & Field Head Coach is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the track and field program, including athlete development, event coaching, and program administration.


Key Areas of Responsibility

The key responsibilities are as follows, but not limited to:


  • Plan and conduct practices for all track and field disciplines.

  • Recruit and develop student-athletes.

  • Coordinate meet participation and athlete preparation.

  • Promote teamwork, accountability, and sportsmanship.

  • Collaborate with assistant coaches and school administration.


Qualifications

  • Previous track and field coaching experience preferred.

  • Knowledge of multiple track and field events.

  • Strong organizational and leadership skills.

  • Passion for developing student-athletes.

Schedule & Commitment

  • Practices are typically held after school hours (4-5 days a week)

  • 3-4 Meets, CHSL Championships

  • Attendance required at all meets

  • Season runs approximately from March through May

Compensation

  • Stipend position based on experience and school policy.
