What you'll do...

Position: Quality Engineer III

Job Location: 811 Excellence Dr, Bentonville, AR 72716

Duties: Provides solutions for coding errors by collaborating with software developers to review coding algorithms; developing unit testing plans to test code; developing testing requirements based on code functionality; analyzing testing results to determine needed fixes; querying application logs and databases and checking configuration files to troubleshoot issues encountered during testing; resolving minor code errors; and recommending code fixes or solutions for testing errors. Participates in small- to large-scale projects by reviewing project requirements; assisting in the writing and developing of code; conducting unit testing; communicating status and issues to appropriate team members and stakeholders; collaborating with project team and cross-functional teams; troubleshooting open issues and bug-fixes; and ensuring on-time delivery and hand-offs. Develops software quality assurance (SQA) test plans for assigned projects by determining exact testing scope for assigned projects; determining data and environmental requirements; identifying dependencies and risks; and determining schedule of test deliverables. Requirement And Scoping Analysis: Traceability matrix; Risk analysis methodologies; Cost Analysis; Business objectives; Classification of requirements; User stories To understand the Business/Stakeholder/Technical requirements and assist in analyzing the existing solutions to address the needs (in case of agile methodology, for the iteration). Prepare requirement traceability matrix and maintain traceability between business requirements, functional requirements, design and test cases. Contribute to the creation of user stories for component/module/simple requirements (for example: based on scalability etc.) (For agile methodology). Demonstrates up-to-date expertise and applies this to the development, execution, and improvement of action plans by providing expert advice and guidance to others in the application of information and best practices; supporting and aligning efforts to meet customer and business needs; and building commitment for perspectives and rationales. Test Design: Industry test frameworks, intellect test frameworks and test templates; Various testing tools, test domains, and test environments; Test frameworks and documentation processes; Test approaches; Traceability matrices; Risk-based analysis; Test automation; System functionality, performance, and integration; Data migration and accessibility; Governance mechanism and risk assessment. To understand customer requirements (including hardware and software requirements) for functional and non-functional testing. Maps customer requirements into test objectives under supervision. Uses basic methods for simple test design according to business requirements. Supports code development for eCommerce projects by participating in project team meetings to develop project plans; reviewing project requirements; providing insight to software developers regarding project quality requirements; and providing guidance regarding code development to ensure testability and reliability. Provides and supports the implementation of business solutions by building relationships and partnerships with key stakeholders; identifying business needs; determining and carrying out necessary processes and practices; monitoring progress and results; recognizing and capitalizing on improvement opportunities; and adapting to competing demands, organizational changes, and new responsibilities.

Minimum education and experience required: 4 years of experience in software engineering quality assurance or related area; OR Bachelor's degree or the equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems or related field plus 2 years of experience in software engineering quality assurance or related area.

Skills required: Must have experience with: Developing and implementing quality assurance policies and procedures to support the testing, build, release, and maintenance of web application systems throughout the project lifecycle; Automating manual test cases into UI scripts using tools like Cypress or Selenium, including script creation, execution, and BDD artifacts; Conducting diverse testing activities-feature, exploratory, regression, defect, integration, smoke, UAT, end-to-end, cross-browser, security, and performance-across all environments; Managing version control systems (Git), test management tools (Jira), and CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Looper) to integrate and execute automated test scripts; Developing and maintaining test cases, test plans, and documentation for functional and non-functional testing to optimize the STLC; Reviewing testing requirements. Creating and maintaining test documentation, including test plans, test cases, and test reports, ensuring traceability and knowledge sharing; Reviewing automation scripts for maintainability, efficiency, and best practices; identifying quality risks and providing feedback to ensure robust automated testing; Troubleshooting defects, performing root cause analysis, and managing bug tracking and resolution using Jira to ensure system integrity and up-to-date documentation; Participating in sprint planning and retrospective meetings and demonstrating completed work during sprint reviews; Communicating status and issues to appropriate team members and stakeholders. Rate of pay: $110,053 - 155,000/year
