Job description

TPS is looking for a motivated and people-focused Recruiter to join our Human Resources team. This position is responsible for finding, attracting, and hiring qualified candidates for positions within TPS. The Recruiter will work closely with hiring managers to understand staffing needs, build relationships with candidates, and represent TPS at local hiring events and community outreach activities.

The ideal candidate enjoys meeting new people, building relationships, and helping connect great employees with rewarding careers at TPS.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Recruit qualified candidates for open positions throughout the company.
  • Post job openings on job boards, social media, and other recruiting platforms.
  • Review applications and resumes to identify qualified candidates.
  • Conduct phone screenings and schedule interviews with hiring managers.
  • Communicate with candidates throughout the hiring process.
  • Attend local job fairs, career events, and community hiring events in the Lynchburg area.
  • Build relationships with local schools, workforce agencies, and community organizations to attract talent.
  • Promote TPS as an employer of choice in the community.
  • Develop and maintain a pipeline of qualified candidates for current and future openings.
  • Work with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and hiring priorities.
  • Maintain accurate recruiting records and applicant tracking information.
  • Assist with new hire onboarding as needed.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.


Qualifications

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field preferred.
  • Previous recruiting, human resources, or customer service experience preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to build relationships with candidates and hiring managers.
