Description

Assists the Supervisor in coordinating the activities and resources of the Maintenance Department in accordance with company policies, manufacturing standards and methods, products requirement. Quality standards and production schedules.

Requirements

JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • ELECTRICAL MAINTNANCE EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED.
  • Performs the maintenance/repair of production machinery and plant equipment to facilitate the production process.
  • Responds to request for maintenance and with the supervisor establishes priorities and adjust schedules to assure optimum utilization of manpower with timely response to production needs.
  • Selects supplies, obtains price quotes and initiates purchase request for electronics repair and/or services parts for machinery and equipment.
  • Develops and submits maintenance estimates to the Supervisor as needed.
  • Plans and coordinates the preventive maintenance for production equipment as requested.
  • Troubleshoots, analyzes, and resolves electronic problems associated with machinery, tool and equipment.
  • Monitors the timely completion of projects to ensure that cost, safety, and quality goals are met.
  • Performs visual and Receives job assignments through work orders, P.M. schedules, or verbal instructions.
  • Troubleshoots, repairs and maintains a variety of production machinery and equipment including electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems and parts, as well as, programmable controllers.
  • Installs, modifies and relocates machinery and equipment and performs fabrication, welding, mechanical, electrical, electronics or other maintenance skills.
  • Reads and interprets equipment manuals, schematics, blueprints, drawings and other written installation and repair instructions.
  • Follows applicable codes and regulations on work performed.
  • Responds to emergency requests for repairs/replacements.
  • Monitors the operation of air systems including: compressors, dryers, chillers, and dehumidifiers.
  • Performs and conducts routine inspections and preventative maintenance of assigned plant equipment, machinery, and cranes including: gauges, filters, fluid levels and system readings. Lubricates and oils equipment and machinery as required.
  • Requisitions or secures materials, tools and supplies needed for assignments.
  • Uses a variety of measuring and testing equipment to troubleshoot, maintain, and repair machinery, equipment, and systems.
  • Uses a wide range of shop, hand, and power tools common to the various trades applied.
  • Maintains specified records and logs of repairs, maintenance related activities and system readings.
  • Operates banding machine to secure parts onto pallet in prescribed manner.ย 
  • Maintains good housekeeping standards in assigned area.
  • Performs all duties following established safety procedures and guidelines using assigned safety equipment.
  • Performs other duties as required.

JOB KNOWLEDGE:

Must have knowledge of maintenance skills generally acquired through technical school education or apprenticeship. Must know the general maintenance techniques, processes, and procedures for the repair, installation, and modification of a variety of company equipment and systems. Must have a working knowledge of programmable controllers. Requires the skill in the use of basic hand, shop and power tools, and magnetic crane. Requires the ability to read and interpret blueprints, maintenance manuals, schematics, and drawings. Requires the ability to conduct various tests to systems and must know and apply appropriate regulations and standards. Requires the ability to maintain specified records and logs of maintenance related activities and system inspections. Requires skill in the use of a wide range of test and measuring equipment. Requires license for operation of forklift. Must be familiar with all safety regulations including: lockout, tag out, and crane specifications.
