Position Description: Clark Builders is hiring Tower Crane Operator Apprentices to work on the Red Deer Regional Hospital. This role will be responsible for the safe operation of the tower crane and will move machinery, materials, formwork and other large objects.

Reporting to: Foreman or Superintendent

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Operate tower cranes to lift, move, position or place equipment and materials
  • Performs pre-operational inspections, safety checks, test lifts and load chart calculations
  • Perform routine inspection and maintenance as required
  • Communicates with site leadership to determine the best placement of crane for planned lifts
  • Ensure that all rigging operations are carried out in a safe manner.
  • Service the hoist and swing equipment used to move machinery, materials and other large objects.
  • Assist with the crane assembly onsite.
  • Abide by OH&S regulations.
  • Review safety policies and procedures.
  • Ensure safety tickets are up to date.
  • Represent Clark Builders in a professional and respectful manner.
  • Adhere to Clark Builders policies and procedures.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Must be a registered apprentice or hold a valid recognized credential.
