Job description

Come Work as a Custodial Janitor at Rowling Hall for FLIK Hospitality!

*This role requires Monday-Saturday availability from 4-10:30PM. 


Principle Responsibilities & Position Purpose:

To service and maintain the cleanliness of all public areas including public and associate restrooms, Rowling Hall public areas, windows, trash pick-up, etc. and surrounding areas of Moon Tower Cafe. 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  1. Use correct cleaning chemicals for designated surfaces, according to OSHA regulations and FLIK standards and requirements.
  2. Review and complete checklist throughout the day.  Check with Custodial Managerfor additional assignments or projects throughout the scheduled shift.
  3. Organize work duty priorities.
  4. Review assigned area and complete general removal of any trash or debris on floors. Maintain cleanliness and organization of closets; restocking of supplies; remove trash, wipe down shelves/counters; sweep and mop floor; remove non-floor closet items and transport to proper storage areas.
  5. Clean designated areas with proper tools and equipment.
  6. Ensure that nothing is stored in stairwells.
  7. Transport any food and beverage trays/items in public areas to service areas.
  8. Check under furniture for debris and remove if present; reposition furniture to correct floor plan.
  9. Inspect condition of all furniture for tears, rips and stains and report damages to Manager. Check for any missing items. Dust and polish all woodwork.
  10. Remove all dust, debris and foreign particles from upholstered furniture, including crevices and under cushions.
  11. Remove dust, spots and smears from windows, frames and ledges; wash windows as assigned.
  12. Remove dust, dirt, marks and fingerprints from doors and doorframes.
  13. Remove stains, scuff marks, and dust from baseboards, ledges and corners.
  14. Polish all brass and chrome surfaces to a high gloss.
  15. Empty trash containers, ashtrays, & ash urns in all public area.
  16. Use designated chemicals, supplies, and equipment to clean various floor surfaces (mops, vacuums) Clean floor mats.  Remove debris from elevator tracks.
  17. Empty vacuum cleaner bags, replace and clean machines.
  18. Remove soil, dirt, soap build-up and hair from public and employee bathroom mirrors, vanities, sinks, toilets/urinals, shower walls, shower curtains and floors.
  19. Replace facial and toilet tissues, paper hand towels, soaps in correct amount and location.
  20. Ensure guest satisfaction.
