Summaryย 
The individual will be responsible for construction project duties for the Construction and Maintenance Department in the telecommunications vertical. Positional responsibilities include, but are not limited to, assisting with conducting telecommunication tower construction and maintenance, troubleshooting, and ensuring quality workmanship in compliance with project design and safety requirements. The position requires zero (0) or up to two (2) years of tower construction or related experience.ย 
Positional Responsibilitiesย 
The Technician will be required to execute the day-to-day tasks of construction projects. Positional responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:ย 
  • Ability to safely perform ground and aerial construction work for telecommunication structures.ย 
  • Develop a knowledge of tower components, tower connections, and foundations including the ability to read and understand construction documents and plans.
  • Possess strong verbal communication skills.ย 
  • Strictly obey safety practices and policies in accordance with company, client, industry, and governmental regulations and policies.ย 
  • Perform work duties related to maintaining and installing hardware and equipment on wireless telecommunication sites.ย 
  • Develop the ability to troubleshoot site specific field issues.ย 
  • Obtain a basic knowledge of rigging techniques and principles including the ability to adhere to rigging plans.ย 
  • Ability to learn construction means and methods via hands-on training.ย 
  • Ability to operate equipment and possess the ability to identify materials, tools, and specialty equipment required to complete project scopes.ย 
  • Assist with daily housekeeping to maintain well-organized, clean, and secure project sites, vehicles, trailers, toolboxes, and equipment.
  • Ability to work well with your hands.ย 
  • Accurately complete travel expense reports and timesheets each week.ย

    • Competent Climber/Certified Rescuer.

    • RF/EME Awareness.
    • NWSA TTT-1
  • Must possess and maintain a valid driverโ€™s license and be insurable under the companyโ€™s standards โ€” employment contingent upon passing a motor vehicle record (MVR) check.
  • Must be able to pass a drug screening and background test.
  • Ability to work at heights.
