Job Details:

Position Summary:

This position will set up, tear down, and operate the tow motor and hand mules, dumpers, grinders, mixers, emulsifiers.

Responsibilities:

  • Move buckets weighing 280 pounds, tanks weighing 2900 pounds of final ground meat from holding cooler to grinding room.

  • Move 200 pounds of meat with a shovel or fork from strainers, correctors, or combos.

  • Add water, cures, seasoning, corn syrup, and other ingredients to meat blends for correct batching of meat materials.

  • Perform necessary weight and process checks.

  • Perform general housekeeping duties in the department.

  • Maintain general manufacturing practices.

  • Will be required to participate in position rotations, including tow motor.

  • Ability and willingness to complete all paperwork and accurately record and report product information into the computer.

  • Ability and willingness to complete all paperwork and SAP functions as required for position.

  • Ability and willingness to perform basic math functions (i.e.: addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).

  • Ability and willingness to work overtime and/or weekends as needed.

  • Ability and willingness to obtain tow motor certification.

  • Comply with all safety, food safety, GMP and SQF requirements.

  • Proficiency in reading and writing; ability to complete on-the-job paperwork and effectively communicate across all management levels.

  • Perform all positions of job rotation as needed.

  • Perform any other work as assigned by management.

Physical Requirements: The successful candidate(s) must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.

  • Ability and willingness topush/pull/lift with arms below waist/at shoulder/above shoulder level minimum of 20 pounds frequently.

  • Ability and willingness towork in a fast-paced environment with rapid hand and eye coordination to move product on a conveyor and/or other processing equipment.

  • Ability and willingness toflex/grip with wrist/hands frequently.

  • Ability and willingness tostand/walk/climb/bend for up to 10 hours.

  • Ability and willingness towork in wet conditions and cold temperatures at 35degrees.

Preferred Skills:

  • Machine Operator experience preferred

  • Experience in a manufacturing setting preferred

  • RF Scanner experience preferred

Qualifications:

  • 3 months of work history with the same employer
