StretchLab Happy Valley is seeking Kinesiology graduates, personal trainers, Physical Therapy Assistants, massage therapists, and dance/yoga/Pilates instructors to join our team. This is an amazing opportunity to gain experience in a newer modality that is taking the fitness industry by storm. Our studio in Happy Valley, OR is in need of professionals who display a passion for their respective professions to assist our members with their health and wellness goals. Our studios provide a professional and energetic environment for both our staff and members.

StretchLab is the industry leader in offering one-on-one assisted stretching. With co-founders coming from the personal training industry, StretchLab has created a variety of offerings to empower clients to ‘Live Long’. StretchLab prides itself on creating the finest team of stretching professionals. StretchLab’s proprietary Flexologist ™ training ensures that our clients receive a world class stretching session.

Our Flexologists will provide one-on-one assisted stretches as well as lead guided group stretching classes for our clients. The role of a Flexologist is to deliver the best one-on-one assisted stretch experience possible. You will help clients reach their flexibility goals and gain more freedom to move better at work, at the gym and in life. We provide PAID TRAINING in PNF stretching to add a new modality to your skill set. Our Flexologist Training Program is the first and only nationally accredited stretch program and certification.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Learn and perform 15, 25 and 50-minute 1:1 stretch sessions
  • Engage and support clients across all ages, sizes and fitness levels
  • Encourage and motivate clients throughout stretch sessions - Set goals with clients; encourage and educate them along their wellness journey and document session notes
  • Assist in building and retaining StretchLab members
  • Ensure safety of clients via proper stretch techniques and via enforcement of StretchLab policies and safety rules, including cleaning and maintaining all equipment to ensure availability for client use
  • Attend staff meetings and required educational presentations
  • Handle member concerns when applicable
  • Learn Club Ready system; managing client progress
  • Keep current on training, new techniques and stretch education
  • Assist sales associates and General Manager with studio tour and sales as needed
  • Contribute to strong social media presence for client membership and retention
  • Assist with pop-ups/demos, community events and promotions

Qualifications:

  • Love of boutique fitness environment is a must – passion for health and wellness through movement is crucial
  • Preferred background:
    • Exercise/Kinesiology graduates
    • Personal Trainer
    • Physical Therapist Assistant
    • Massage Therapist
    • Dance, Pilates or Yoga Instructor
  • Previous experience working with clients in a wellness space preferred
  • Fitness certification or bachelor’s degree required (Kinesiology, Exercise Science, or Human Physiology)
  • Fantastic communication skills, must love connecting with people and helping the achieve goals
  • Must have a professional work ethic, be reliable and adhere to attendance policies
  • Must be available to pass our Flexologist Training Program, which includes both online tutorials and 2 days of in-person/hands-on training
