Job description

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The Talent Acquisition Coordinator will play a crucial role in supporting the recruitment process for our Guitar Center retail positions. This role involves coordinating and managing various aspects of the hiring process to ensure a seamless and positive experience for candidates and hiring managers. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and passionate about attracting and retaining top talent.
Responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to the following:
  • Recruitment Support: Assist in the full recruitment lifecycle including job postings, screening resumes, scheduling interviews, and coordinating communication between candidates, Retail TA Managers, and Store leaders. Communicate with candidates promptly and assist them when they interview. Handle all paperwork (e.g. offer letters, onboarding documents, I-9 verification) and process all relevant documents for new hires.
  • Candidate Experience: Ensure a positive candidate experience by managing candidate communications, providing timely updates, and maintaining professionalism throughout the recruitment process.
  • Interview Coordination: Support scheduling and confirm interviews, arrange travel for out-of-town candidates as approved by leadership, and ensure the hiring team is prepared with necessary materials and information.
  • Job Postings: Create and manage job postings on various job boards, company career site, and social media platforms. Ensure job descriptions are accurate and compelling.
  • Applicant Tracking: Maintain and update the applicant tracking system (ATS) with candidate information, interview notes, and recruitment metrics.
  • Background Checks: Coordinate background checks, reference checks, and other pre-employment screenings as needed.
  • Onboarding Support: Assist with onboarding new hires, including preparing offer letters, coordinating start dates, and ensuring all necessary paperwork is completed.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the HR team, hiring managers, and external recruitment agencies to ensure alignment on recruitment strategies and processes.
  • Reporting: Prepare and maintain recruitment reports and metrics to track the effectiveness of recruitment efforts and identify areas for improvement.
  • Employer Branding: Support employer branding initiatives to attract top talent, including participating in career fairs, networking events, and help with engaging content for recruitment marketing efforts.

Professional Experience & Requirements:
  • One year of relevant experience in a Recruitment, HR or People Coordinator role.
  • Familiarity with the entire recruitment lifecycle, or a strong desire to learn.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

Pay Rate: $21.00- $24.00/hr depending on background and experience.
