Segway Tour Company in Chicago is hiring English speaking and Bi-lingual Tour Guides

Hate sitting on the sidelines? We are looking for positive people who are self-motivated team players and dedicated to detail oriented customer service.

Do you geek out on all things Chicago? We are in need of people who are excited about Chicago's history, culture, architecture, arts, and local life.

Do you love entertaining people? We love people who love people! Put that excitement to work, and energize a wide variety of people.

Do you thrive on new daily challenges and thinking on your feet? We cater to a wide variety of customers from international guests to local patrons, and when you're on the streets of Chicago, anything can happen. We need positive personalities that can roll with the punches and keep our guests happy no matter what the demands.

Qualifications

What we are looking for:

English speaking candidates with strong communication skills.

English speakers who can clearly communicate with native Portuguese, Mandarin, French, Spanish, German, Japanese, and any other non-English speakers. Strong English skills are mandatory as tours are primarily conducted in English.

Must be available to work weekends, summer holidays, and evenings through the summer

Excellent phone skills and customer is always right attitude required

Two years of experience in a related industry working one on one with people (as a guide, server, bartender, concierge, or teacher etc.)

Enthusiasm - we need people who are excited about Chicago

Positive personality - who has time for problems? I just see a new challenge

Communication - effectively communicate instructions in person, to a group, and on the phone

Drive to consistently learn more and perfect your skills
