Job description

We are seeking an experienced and dependable Lead Commercial Roofing Repair Technician to oversee and perform high-quality repairs across a variety of commercial roofing systems. This leadership role requires strong technical expertise in low slope commercial roofing systems such as Duro-Last, EPDM, torch down, metal, BUR and TPO, along with the ability to take ownership of a jobsite, manage service calls, and ensure work is completed safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and support roofing technicians on service and repair jobs
  • Perform inspections, maintenance, and complex repairs on commercial roofing systems
  • Diagnose leaks, structural issues, and system failures, and implement effective solutions
  • Work with Duro-Last, EPDM, Torch Down (modified bitumen), TPO, and metal roofing systems
  • Ensure all work is completed to the highest quality standards and reflects 100% effort
  • Communicate directly with customers, providing clear recommendations that are in their best interest
  • Plan and coordinate daily job activities, materials, and manpower
  • Train and mentor team members, fostering a supportive and accountable team environment
  • Enforce safety protocols and lead by example to ensure everyone goes home safe
  • Accurately document work performed, including photos, reports, and service notes (utilizing the technology of our service management program)
  • Continuously look for ways to improve processes, efficiency, and team performance
  • Flexibility to work weekends when needed to make sure our customers are supported when they need us
  • Flexibility to fill in on an installation crew when needed

Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of commercial roofing repair experience
  • Strong hands-on experience with Duro-Last, EPDM, Torch Down, metal, and TPO systems
  • Proven leadership or crew lead experience in roofing or a related trade
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Strong communication and customer service abilities
  • Customer service (professionally communicate with customers)
  • Ability to learn/use technology
  • Strong interpersonal skills that help you to collaborate in a team environment
  • Comfortable working at heights and in various weather conditions
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record

Preferred Skills:
  • OSHA certification (or willingness to obtain)
  • Experience managing service crews or multiple job sites
  • Knowledge of roofing installation and preventative maintenance programs
  • Takes initiative to see a problem and solve it
