Our firm provides a full array of engineering, public works design and construction and project management services.Our staff works on a broad array of challenging and interesting public and private projects. A career with us is an excellent opportunity to work with some of the best civil engineers and construction managers.The OpportunityWe are looking for a Field Surveyor/Technician with five or more years of combined experience in the field and office. The ideal candidate for this opportunity is organized, has solid communication skills, can work independently, is team oriented, and personable. This position requires a dependable, versatile individual who has experience in civil engineering design. Candidates are required to have a California LSIT qualification and be actively in the process of obtaining a LS license or have an LS.Responsibilities:Work under general direction on complex projects in accordance with project requirements and surveying standards.Work to ensure projects are on schedule, within budget and meet the requirements of our clientsDuties include coordination of field survey crews, calculation for topo and boundary surveys, and receiving and processing client work orders. Must have AutoCAD experienceWork may include both office survey and field crew workPerform other duties as requiredRequired Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree Five or more years of demonstrated surveying experienceCalifornia PLS License or LSIT actively pursuing a California PLS LicenseCurrent experience with AutoCAD Civil 3DExcellent verbal and written communication skillsExcellent customer service skills including an ability to interact professionally and knowledgeably with clientsField work requires union membershipSelf-motivated and goal oriented, with strong attention to detailMust be meticulous about the work you produceSolid experience with the MS Office SuiteWe offer a generous salary and benefits package that includes company paid medical and dental insurance, vacation and a 401(k) plan.
