Job description

We are hiring experienced Heavy Equipment Operators for a 2-month temporary assignment in Palmetto, FL, working Monday through Friday. Operators will perform finish grading using dozers to achieve precise final grades for building pads, roadways, and slopes, as well as operate heavy excavators for mass excavation, trenching, and efficient haul truck loading. Experience using GPS or laser machine control systems such as Topcon or Trimble is required for grading operations.

Responsibilities

  • Operate finish grade dozers to complete building pads, roadways, and slopes to final specifications.
  • Operate heavy excavators for mass excavation, trenching, and haul truck loading.
  • Use GPS or laser machine control systems (Topcon or Trimble) for precision grading.
  • Follow safe operating practices while working around haul trucks and active job sites.
  • Perform grading and excavation work according to project requirements.

Requirements

  • Previous experience operating heavy equipment, including dozers and excavators.
  • Experience with finish grading.
  • Proficiency using Topcon or Trimble GPS/laser grading systems.
  • Ability to safely load articulated or rigid haul trucks.
  • Heavy equipment certification required.
