As a Live-In caregiver, you'll provide essential non-medical assistance to our clients, helping them maintain their independence and quality of life.
Responsibilities:
  • Please note: This position is for clients who live in the greater Baton Rouge area (not Brookhaven). The caregiver will be required to commute to the client's home in the Baton Rouge area, but will stay for a week at a time during their "on" weeks.

Work Schedule:
  • Shifts will be structured as 7 days on, 7 days off - rotating. Caregiver needs to be able to stay the full 7 days for weeks that they are working, except in limited situations.
  • Caregivers will typically maintain a schedule of 8 - 12.5 hours of work, 1.5 hours of uninterrupted meal time, and eight (8) hours of non-working, unpaid sleep time every workday. Hours may vary.
  • Caregivers will have a private room to sleep in and be available to assist client overnight if needed (any worked time would be paid), while receiving adequate sleep time.
  • It is common practice for clients to allow caregivers to have a few hours of personal time per day while remaining in the home and still available to assist a client if needed.

Compensation and Benefits:
  • Compensation: Starts at $185 per day plus meals.
  • Room and board provided (private sleeping, storage space, and meals).
  • Weekly Pay: Enjoy consistent pay on a weekly basis.
  • Holiday Pay: 10 holidays paid at a rate of 1.5 times your regular wage.
