Landscape Crew Leader - Maintenance

What You'll Do

  • Lead, train, and support a landscape maintenance crew in daily field operations
  • Perform hands-on landscaping work, including handling plants, soil, mulch, gravel, pavers, and other landscape materials
  • Operate and maintain commercial landscaping equipment, including riding and walk-behind mowers, blowers, trimmers, edgers, and hedge trimmers
  • Ensure work is completed according to project specifications, company standards, and safety requirements
  • Serve as the primary on-site contact for customers and communicate professionally regarding job progress and service needs
  • Monitor crew productivity, provide coaching and direction, and reinforce safe work practices
  • Track labor hours, material usage, and daily job progress accurately
  • Maintain clean, organized, and safe job sites


What We're Looking For

  • 2-3 years of landscaping industry experience
  • 1+ years of leadership experience preferred
  • Strong knowledge of landscape maintenance and installation techniques
  • Experience operating commercial landscaping equipment and tools
  • Valid driver's license required
  • DOT medical card or equipment certifications are a plus
  • Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to lead a team in a fast-paced outdoor environment
  • Delivering projects on time and within scope
  • Maintaining high standards of quality and customer satisfaction
  • Promoting a safe and productive work environment
  • Accurately tracking labor and materials
  • Developing and retaining a strong crew


Physical Requirements & Work Environment

This position requires frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, lifting, and operating landscaping equipment throughout the workday. Candidates must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and work outdoors in varying weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, and sun. Early start times, overtime, and occasional weekend work may be required.
