Job description

Valley Baptist Physician Network is seeking an Interventional Cardiologist to join a well-established cardiovascular group at Valley Baptist Medical Center in Harlingen, TX. This full-time, employed position offers a fully built-out practice with a collegial team, strong mentorship, and a light call burden. The role focuses on delivering exceptional patient care within a premier health system recognized for cardiovascular services.

Practice Info

  • Employed position based at Valley Baptist Medical Center in Harlingen, TX
  • Clinic located in the Medical Arts Pavilion, directly connected to the hospital and Cath Lab
  • Valley Baptist Medical Center-Harlingen is a 586-bed Level II Trauma Center
  • Four Cath Lab suites with Cardiac, EP, and Neuro capabilities
  • Da Vinci XI robotic surgical system and Cerner EMR on-site
  • Access to an active clinical research department and optional teaching opportunities through UT Rio Grande Valley

Responsibilities

  • Deliver exceptional patient care
  • Perform diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures
  • Perform device implantation and management
  • Manage structural heart disease, arrhythmias, heart failure, and peripheral vascular disease
  • See approximately 25 patients per day in clinic
  • Perform 10-15 procedures per week initially

Compensation

  • Guaranteed base salary with production bonus
  • Loan Repayment: Negotiable
  • Billing, coding, and collections handled in-house

Requirements

  • MD or DO
  • Board certified or board eligible in Interventional Cardiology
  • Licensed in Texas or eligible for an unrestricted Texas medical license
  • J-1 or H-1B visa sponsorship available
