Description Title: CASUAL - Lecturer in Accounting Position Number: CASUAL LECT Hiring Unit: Shidler College of Business, School of Accountancy Location: University of Hawaii at Manoa, Honolulu HI Date Posted: 03/19/2026 Closing Date: Continuous Salary Information: Minimum $2,053 per credit hour, commensurate with qualifications and experience Monthly Type: 9-Month Temporary/Permanent: Temporary Other Conditions: For placement in the lecturer pool for Fall 2026 and future semesters, including day and/or evening courses, as well as outreach extension and summer courses. Appointments are contingent upon registration, position availability, course offerings, sufficient enrollment, availability of funds, and departmental need. Lecturer positions are part-time and non-tenure-track.

For information about the program, visit: https://shidler.hawaii.edu/soa/about Duties and Responsibilities: To teach one or more courses within a range of topics, including: ACC200 - Introduction to Accounting I ACC210 - Introduction to Accounting II ACC409 - Accounting Information Systems ACC413 - Law for the Accountant ACC415 -Advanced Financial Accounting ACC418 - Auditing Responsible for conducting all scheduled classes; meeting course requirements as established by the department/program, preparing course syllabus, grading, maintaining weekly office hours, and being accessible to students. Minimum Qualifications: Master of Accounting, Master of Business Administration (with a concentration in Accounting), Master of Laws, or Juris Doctor (with a concentration in Accounting) Proven ability to teach at the college/university level. Desirable qualifications: PhD degree in Accounting

Recent professional work experience, relevant to the course, at a partner level in a national and/or significant accounting experience in a larger accounting firm. Evidence of teaching ability in one or more of the areas listed under teaching duties and responsibilities.
