Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Quality Technician to join our Evansville Tool Shop facility. In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring tooling quality and precision through advanced inspection techniques, CMM programming and operation, and collaboration with manufacturing teams. The ideal candidate is a self-driven professional with strong analytical skills, a passion for quality, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and efficiency.
Key Duties/Responsibilities:
• Complete tooling inspections and reports through various methods such as visual verification, 3D scanning, CMM operation, and other gauges
• Must be able to read and interpret tooling prints and specifications
• Provide CMM support and training for manufacturing employees
• Perform Quality Room and CMM maintenance
• Support the Calibration, Non-conformance, Quality Communications and Final Approval processes
Required Education / Qualifications:
• High School Diploma / GED equivalent
• 3+ years of experience in programming and operation of coordinate measuring machines within industrial manufacturing environments.
• Familiarity with tooling
• Windows based computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Ability to work independently and as an effective team
• Strong organizational skills with proven ability to complete multiple tasks simultaneously
• Excellent problem-solving skills using established Quality methods
• Ability to lift 50 pounds
• Ability to safely operate a forklift
• Ability to work overtime as needed
Preferred Education / Qualifications:
• Associates Degree or Metrology certifications
• Experience with Mastercam, CMM Manager, Polyworks and / or Solidworks
• Multiple years of experience in full tool build programs
• Familiarity with the ISO 9001 Standard
• Extensive knowledge in various types of tooling
