Position Summary
We're looking for a Check-In Clerk to join our team in Rincon, GA. In this role, you'll be the first point of contact for drivers and help keep our terminal running smoothly. You'll handle trailer check-ins, inspect equipment, manage paperwork, and provide excellent customer service. If you're organized, dependable, and ready to work in a fast-paced environment, we want to hear from you!
Key Responsibilities
  • Welcome and guide drivers when they arrive.
  • Inspect inbound trailers and check them in using multiple computer systems (about 70 trailers per day).
  • Print and manage Bills of Lading (BOLs) and ensure paperwork is accurate and properly filed.
  • Monitor emails and respond promptly.
  • Work with reports and maintain accurate documentation.
  • Answer phone calls and assist with inquiries.
  • Report system issues, driver concerns, or safety problems to the Lead Clerk or Site Manager.
  • Keep your workspace clean and organized.
  • Follow all company and customer policies.
  • Be on time and reliable for your scheduled shifts.
  • Perform other duties as needed.
Qualifications
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Excel and Office 365 (Excel testing required).
  • Dependable and punctual.
  • Good communication skills-both written and verbal.
