Bridge to Balance Therapy is actively seeking a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapist to join our healthcare team on a full-time basis. Located in Miami Gardens, Florida, our Early Interventional Center provides innovative, patient-centered care to individuals across the lifespan, focusing on helping them achieve optimal independence in their daily activities. As an Occupational Therapist in our facility, you will play a crucial role in assessing patient needs, developing personalized treatment plans, and implementing therapeutic interventions aimed at improving physical, cognitive, and psychosocial functioning.

This full-time position is set within our Early Interventional Center, which is designed to foster engagement and healing for patients of all ages. The center features state-of-the-art facilities equipped with the latest therapeutic equipment and technologies, allowing you to provide the best evidence-based interventions. The typical work schedule is Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional evening or weekend hours depending on patient needs.

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess functional abilities, identify limitations, and formulate individualized treatment plans based on patient assessments.
• Deliver tailored, evidence-based occupational therapy interventions aimed at enhancing patients' motor skills, coordination, balance, and cognitive abilities.
• Collaborate effectively with patients, their families, and caregivers to establish meaningful and achievable goals, reinforcing motivation throughout the therapeutic process.
• Design and implement a variety of therapeutic activities and exercises that address individual patient goals, ensuring they align with best practices in occupational therapy.
• Utilize adaptive equipment and assistive technology, promoting patients' autonomy in daily living activities.
• Educate patients and their families on techniques for pain management, energy conservation, and strategies to prevent further disability.
• Document patient progress and treatment outcomes accurately and promptly, adhering to regulatory and organizational standards.
• Engage in interdisciplinary case discussions, collaborating with healthcare providers to ensure coordinated and holistic patient care.
• Stay abreast of advancements in occupational therapy through participation in continuing education and professional development activities.
• Uphold legal and ethical standards in patient care, ensuring confidentiality and advocacy for patient rights.

The Occupational Therapist will work with a diverse patient population, which includes infants, children, and adults facing a myriad of challenges—ranging from developmental delays and physical disabilities to chronic conditions that affect daily functioning. You will engage with patients in a supportive, empathetic manner, fostering a therapeutic relationship that promotes growth and recovery. Your interventions will be pivotal in helping patients gain new skills and regain lost abilities, ultimately enhancing their overall quality of life.

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program; a Master's or Doctorate is preferred.
• A current and valid state licensure to practice Occupational Therapy in Florida.
• CPR certification, ensuring preparedness for emergency situations.
• Strong foundational knowledge of occupational therapy principles, assessments, and interventions.
• Proficiency in evaluating patient needs and developing individualized treatment strategies.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, capable of building rapport with patients and working collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment.
• Demonstrated empathy, patience, and commitment to helping patients reach their full potential.
• Strong organizational skills to manage a diverse caseload effectively.

• Experience in a healthcare setting focused on rehabilitation or acute care.
• Past involvement in developing and implementing therapeutic programs which showcased measurable patient outcomes.
• Participation in interdisciplinary team meetings that enhance continuity of care and patient experience.

The position offers a competitive annual salary ranging from USD 70,000 to 90,000, commensurate with experience and education.
