Pioneer Crossing Casino in Dayton, Nevada is looking for a Host/Cashier!

Our Host/Cashiers are responsible for seat guests in a timely manner, handle all calls and cash/credit transactions; assist the server's by clearing and setting tables, taking and delivering beverages to guests, and any other tasks that allow the servers to give our guests excellent service in a timely manner.

Requirements

Essential Functions:

  • Greet guests in a friendly and courteous manner.
  • Seat guests in a friendly and timely manner.
  • Take to go orders.
  • Handle all cash/credit card transactions.
  • Thank all guests as they are leaving.
  • Ask guests for their beverage orders and deliver them in a timely manner.
  • Clear empty dishes from the tables as needed.
  • Refill guests' beverages as needed.
  • Clear and wipe down tables when guests leave the restaurant.
  • Occasionally may be asked to assist servers with food delivery.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Requirements

Language Ability:

  • Must be able to communicate effectively in verbal and written English language.

Math Ability: 

  • High School level math:  Adding, subtracting.

Reasoning Ability: 

  • Must be able to learn server stations and be able to seat guests equally between those stations.

Knowledge/Skill requirement:

  • Ability to describe all menu items, prices and methods of preparation.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Ability to work in high-pressure, fast-paced environment.

Computer Skills: 

  • Ability to learn the Point of Sales System

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to stand and exert well-paced mobility for up to 8 hours in length.
  • Must be able to exert well-paced ability in limited space.
  • Must be able to exert well-paced ability to maneuver between functions occurring simultaneously.
  • Requires grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, bending, climbing, listening and hearing ability and visual acuity.
