POSITIONย SUMMARYย
TNDCโs Clinical Manager, Supportive Housing Servicesย provides leadership, and support and clinicalย expertiseย to TNDCโs Social Work Unit to improve the wellbeing and health ofย vulnerableย tenants across our portfolio of family, senior, and single adult properties across San Francisco.ย ย Theย Clinical Manager, Supportive Housingย Servicesย will guide TNDC to improve prevention and early intervention of behavioral health crises, expand access to substance abuse and mental health treatment, and strengthen our front-line social work staff capacity to provide high-quality supportive services that meet the needs of our most vulnerable tenants.ย This job description should not be interpreted as all inclusive. ESSENTIAL DUTIESย ย ย
Clinical Leadership & Team Supportย
- Provide clinical leadership, consultation, and guidance to social work teams supporting formerly homeless adults, families, and seniors acrossย TNDCโsย supportive housing communitiesย
- Coach and mentor front-line staff on crisis intervention, behavioral health stabilization, case consultation, and best practicesย
- Lead complex case conferences and critical incident reviews to improve outcomes and strengthen service deliveryย
- Support staff development through ongoing clinical training, mentorship, and professional guidanceย
Program & Systems Improvementย
- Help improve systems, policies, and workflows related to behavioral health support, early intervention, and crisis preventionย
- Strengthenย intake, assessment, referral, and documentation practices across programsย
- Identifyย gaps in behavioral health access and build stronger pathways to community-based services and treatment providersย
- Partner withย TNDCย leadership on initiatives tied to Medi-Cal/CalAIMย partnerships and supportive services expansionย
Cross-Functional Collaborationย
- Work closely with supportive housing teams, community providers, and leadership to create more coordinated, tenant-centered careย
- Help shape organizational strategies that improve housing retention, resident wellbeing, and long-term stabilityย
- Contribute to the growth and development of TNDCโs Social Work Internship Programย

REQUIREDย QUALIFICATIONSย
- Masterโs degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or related fieldย
- Active California licensure as anย LCSW,ย LMFT,ย LPCCย
- At least four (4)ย yearโs experienceย in a supportive housing settingย providing clinical services toย individuals experiencing homelessness, serious mental illness, substance use disorders, or complex behavioral health needsย
- Experience mentoring, training, or guiding social work/case management teamsย
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSย
- Prior training,ย certificationย and experience in performing involuntary holds (5150โs).ย
- Have held an LCSW for at least two years andย beย in good standing to supervise an ASW.ย
- Knowledge of residential property management, building systems, and housing quality standards.ย
- Bi-lingual or fluent inย Spanish-English,ย Chinese-English,ย Vietnamese-English,ย Tagalog-English,ย orย Russian-English.ย ย ย

Physical Requirements:ย
- Ability toย operateย office equipment such as personalย computersย andย calculators.ย
- Ability to coordinate eyes, hands, and fingers in performing word processing, writing,ย reading,ย and similar tasks.ย
- Ability to lift 15-20 pounds.ย
- Visual acuityย is necessaryย to review documents.ย
- Hearing acuity sufficient to use telephone and communicate withย tenants,ย and staff.ย
- Ability to perform sedentary to light physical workย involvesย sitting most of the time.ย ย

- Ability to travel to various work sites as needed.ย ย
Mathematical Ability:ย

- Ability to keep abreast ofย internal and externalย changes in policy, regulations, methods, operations, etc.ย as they apply to the delivery of services to tenants.ย ย
