Dusk Bar located in the beautiful Drift Santa Barbara is looking for a talented & caring individual who is passionate about hospitality to join our team!
Our bartenders work in beautifully designed spaces with the vibrant backdrop of State Street. Bartenders will serve our guests from a carefully curated raw bar menu, light bites, and hand-crafted cocktails. Our service style is elevated casual, with careful attention paid to every touchpoint in the guest experience.
About The Role
Bartenders are in charge of managing drink orders to keep customers satisfied during meals or social gatherings. Bartenders have extensive knowledge of craft cocktail creation as well as common drinks, which they use to recommend drinks to customers, prepare cocktails, pour beers, and properly decant wines. Bartenders also entertain customers who sit at the bar by providing stimulating conversation and excellent customer service while filling drink orders for other customers. Their role is to ensure that customers are of legal drinking age and then prepare a requested drink to bar specifications.
What You'll Do
    • Welcome guests to the bar with outstanding hospitality
    • Verify identification and age requirements of customers
    • Mix traditional and creative cocktails per menu specs
    • Process payment from customers
    • Clean glasses and bar utensils
    • Make suggestions based on customer tastes and preferences
    • Record and balance receipts and prepare daily reports
    • Open and maintain tabs throughout your shift
    • Build a rapport with regular customers to create a positive atmosphere
    • Associates will be required to perform any other job-related duties assigned by their supervisor.

Qualifications
    • Responsible Beverage Service Certificate
    • Prior experience in an establishment with bar & food service
    • Extensive knowledge of alcoholic beverages and knowledgeable of different types of cuisines
    • Excellent written and oral communication skills
    • Highly developed interpersonal skills
    • Working knowledge of point-of-sale systems
    • High level of stamina to work on feet for extended periods
    • Food Handlers Certificate
