Job description

Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a CNC Machinist based in Palm Beach Gardens, FL. The CNC/Manual Machinist is a hands-on role assisting cross-functional teams with prototyping, new product development, and production. Primary responsibilities will include assisting in the manufacturing of assemblies, components, tooling, fixtures, gages, and production parts using a variety of tools and CNC fabrication equipment.
Required Qualifications
  • Must be familiar with Okuma CNC Lathe/Mill Programming & Operation
  • 5+ years direct CNC machining experience
  • This position requires US Citizenship, U.S. Permanent Residency, or other status as a U.S. Person.
  • The individual must be able to satisfy federal governmental requirements to access government information. Dual citizenship may preclude you from being able to satisfy this requirement.

Education/Experience: (One of the following)
  • Associate's Degree (A.A. or A.S.) in Machining Technology or related program
  • Trade Degree or Certificate in Machining Technology
  • Completed Apprenticeship with 5+ years of machining experience

General Qualifications
  • Demonstrated ability to operate CNC and manual machinery.
  • Possess the ability to read and interpret Engineering drawings
  • Solid understanding of GD&T requirements and how to achieve them
  • Knowledge of speeds and feeds for various types of tooling, materials, and operations
  • Ability to transfer, translate, and edit programs from CAD to CAM software
  • Utilize various inspection devices including Calipers, Micrometers, Gages, etc.
  • Must be able to work in a shop environment
  • Must have correctable 20/20 vision
  • Individual must be able to demonstrate great attention to detail
  • Individual should have basic knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Individual must be knowledgeable of basic to advanced level shop mathematics
  • Ability to lift up to 40lbs
  • Must be able to work in an independent environment
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

Preferred Qualifications
  • 10+ years of CNC machining experience
  • 10+ years of Manual machining experience
  • Understanding of mechanical & machine design best practices
  • Knowledge and understanding of DFM (design for manufacturing)
  • Knowledgeable of ISO9001 standards
  • Experience using Solidworks (CAD)
  • Experience using CAD/CAM software
  • Experience using Okuma Genos L3000-e MYW (Lathe)
  • Experience using Okuma Genos M560V (Mill)
  • Experience using Haas TL-1 (Lathe)
