Associates are part of a supportive team culture focused on customer service, merchandising, and keeping stores organized, welcoming, and fully stocked.

Position Overview

Merchandise Associates are responsible for delivering a highly satisfying customer experience by engaging and interacting with all customers, embodying customer experience principles and philosophy, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment. Supports daily store operations including assisting customers, stocking and merchandising products, and maintaining presentation standards. Adheres to all operational, merchandise, and loss prevention standards. May be cross-trained to work in multiple areas of the store in order to support the needs of the business in a fast-paced retail environment.

 

This position is located in Staten Island, New York.

Key Responsibilities
  • Greet and help customers on the sales floor, answering questions and providing product support
  • Run the register by processing purchases, returns, and exchanges accurately
  • Restock shelves, hang/fold merchandise, and keep the sales floor organized throughout the day
  • Set up new merchandise by unpacking shipments, tagging items, and getting products ready for the floor
  • Fix and straighten displays during the day so the store stays neat and easy to shop
  • Help maintain fitting rooms, including keeping them clean and returning items to the sales floor
  • Support store team members with daily tasks to keep the store running smoothly during busy periods
  • Follow basic safety and store procedures while working in a fast-paced retail environment

  • Possesses strong communication and organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Capable of multi-tasking
