Job description

General Purpose of the Job: The Tissue Circulator supports the safe handling, tracking, and movement of human allograft tissue through the tissue processing environment. This role is responsible for assisting the Tissue Processor in maintaining a sterile environment, accurate documentation, ensuring compliance with regulatory bodies, and company quality standards. 


  • Adhere to Good Tissue Practices as outlined in FDA 21 CFR Part 1271, AATB Standards, and company policies.
  • Receive and document receipt of donor tissue from recovery partners, ensuring proper chain of custody.
  • Review recovery documentation and verify accuracy according to company policy.
  • Follow established labeling controls and assign LeMaitre donor identification numbers accurately.
  • Prepare sterile fields and present sterile products to Processors for use in tissue dissection and cryopreservation.
  • Prepare and label antibiotic and cryopreservation solutions according to approved protocols.
  • Operate the controlled-rate freezer and assist in proper cryopreservation setup and documentation.
  • Decontaminate processing and packaging suites following company procedures and schedules.
  • Sterilize surgical instruments and document sterilization cycles in compliance with SOPs.
  • Construct and organize donor record charts to ensure complete and traceable documentation.
  • Safely dispose of hazardous waste and biohazard materials according to regulatory guidelines.
  • Prepare and label pre- and post-processing cultures as required.
  • Monitor and restock processing areas and storage supplies daily to ensure operational readiness.
  • Provide cross-functional support to Processors and other team members as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Manager or designee.

  • High School Diploma required
  • Experience in healthcare, sterile processing, or laboratory environments preferred.
  • Surgical Technologist, EMT/Paramedic, or Tissue Recovery experience a plus.
  • Knowledge of aseptic technique and sterilization procedures preferred.
  • Certified Tissue Banking Specialist (CTBS) certification a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail, manual dexterity, and ability to follow detailed technical procedures.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a cleanroom environment and maintain compliance with regulatory standards.

Compensation:

$25.00 - $28.00 per hour

The range provided is based on what we believe is a reasonable estimate for the base salary pay range for this job at the time of posting.  This role may also be eligible for overtime pay, in accordance with federal and state requirements. Actual base salary pay will be based on a number of factors, including skills, competencies, experience, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
