Zolman Tire, Inc.Seeking General Automotive Service Technicians - South Bend, Mishawaka, Granger, IN and Niles, MI

Locally owned and operated, Zolman Tire, Inc. has serviced the automotive, light truck and commercial repair, tire, and wheel needs of customers throughout the Mishawaka, IN area since 1978. Over the years we have expanded into nine retail locations in Mishawaka, IN, Granger, IN, South Bend, IN, Niles, MI, Portage, MI, and Kalamazoo, MI and five commercial fleet locations in Mishawaka, IN, South Bend, IN, Galesburg, MI, Benton Harbor, MI, and Jackson, MI.



We are seeking qualified General Automotive Service Technicians for our South Bend, Mishawaka, Granger, IN and Niles, MI locations who value safety and teamwork. Hour's required are 8AM-5PM M-F with some locations 8am-12pm Saturday. Willingness to work overtime as needed. Essential Functions:

• Remove, install, rotate, balance, and perform flat repairs (per TIA guidelines)

• Inspect tread depth, air pressure, and carcass for defects, for every tire that comes through, and recommend corrective action

• Inspect vehicles using inspection forms and report potential repairs to supervisor

• Perform basic maintenance and repair, including oil changes, chassis lubrication, filter and fluid inspection and replacement, and other light mechanical items and repairs

• Raise and lower vehicles safely, with hydraulic or floor jacks

• Safely operate all shop machinery, including but not limited to: rim clamp machine, balancer, floor jacks or lifts, air powered tools, torque wrench and/or torque sticks, and parts washer

• Read work orders thoroughly and perform all listed tasks

• Work closely with management and service advisors to educate customers on diagnoses and provide excellent service

• Help to load/unload delivery trucks

• Reset TPMS when needed

• Each morning, set up tire racks, signs and other displays; store them neatly at the end of the day

• Perform general housekeeping duties

• Perform other duties as assigned

Physical Demands / Work Environment:

Lifting: Frequent lifting over 50 pounds from ground to chest high.
