Warehouse Supervisor

Location: Tire Rack – Sparks, NV
Employment Type: Full-Time, Non-Exempt

Tire Rack is seeking a Warehouse Department Supervisor to join our Distribution Center team in Sparks, Nevada. In this leadership role, you'll oversee daily warehouse operations within an assigned department, ensuring productivity, accuracy, safety, and exceptional operational performance. You'll lead and develop warehouse associates, coordinate workflows, and drive continuous process improvements while helping ensure customer orders are fulfilled accurately and on time.

What You'll Do

  • Lead daily operations within an assigned warehouse department, ensuring work is completed safely, accurately, and efficiently.
  • Supervise, coach, train, and develop warehouse associates while fostering a positive and productive work environment.
  • Assign work, establish priorities, and adjust staffing to meet daily production goals.
  • Monitor workflow and communicate department progress and operational updates to management.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and standard operating procedures.
  • Analyze operational performance and identify opportunities to improve productivity, quality, and efficiency.
  • Oversee quality control processes to ensure products are handled, inspected, and processed according to company standards.
  • Manage inventory accuracy within the Warehouse Management System (WMS), including inventory tracking, returns processing, and stock reconciliation.
  • Identify operational issues, perform root cause analysis, and collaborate with management to implement corrective actions.
  • Partner with other departments to improve communication and streamline warehouse operations.
  • Lead department meetings to communicate goals, expectations, and operational updates.
  • Ensure material handling equipment is properly maintained and operated safely.
  • Support the onboarding and development of new team members.
  • Provide recommendations regarding temporary-to-full-time employee transitions.
  • Report department performance metrics and operational trends while identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.

What We're Looking For

  • Minimum of 3 years of warehouse experience, including demonstrated leadership responsibilities.
  • Experience supervising, coaching, motivating, and developing warehouse associates.
  • Strong understanding of warehouse operations, inventory management, and distribution processes.
  • Experience using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) to manage inventory, shipments, returns, and operational workflows.
  • Ability to identify operational challenges, develop solutions, and implement process improvements.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with the ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work effectively across departments.
  • Commitment to maintaining a safe, efficient, and customer-focused work environment.

Education

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

Schedule

Typical work schedule is Monday through Friday, 40–50 hours per week, between 6:00 AM and 6:00 PM, with additional hours as business needs require.
