Location: Atlantic Tire Distribution Center, Edenton, NC

At Colony Tire Corporation, we pride ourselves on providing exceptional tire and automotive services throughout the Southeast. Our Atlantic Tire Distribution Center is expanding, and we are seeking skilled Diesel Mechanics to maintain and repair our fleet of tractor-trailer trucks.
Job Summary:
As a Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, and repairing diesel engines and mechanical systems of tractor-trailer trucks. You will ensure the reliability, safety, and efficiency of our fleet, contributing to the overall success of our logistics operations.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance on diesel engines, brake systems, transmissions, and other vehicle components.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues using diagnostic tools and equipment.
  • Conduct repairs and replacements of faulty components in compliance with safety and quality standards.
  • Work collaboratively with other team members and supervisors to ensure all trucks are road-ready and meet DOT requirements.
  • Follow OSHA and company safety standards at all times.

Qualifications:
  • 3+ years of experience as a Diesel Mechanic or in a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of diesel engines and mechanical components of tractor-trailer trucks.
  • Proficiency in using diagnostic tools, hand tools, and repair equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
  • CDL (Commercial Driver's License) is a plus but not required.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in diesel mechanics preferred.
