Coffman Excavation is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Project Engineer to join our growing team in Boise, Idaho. As a Project Engineer, you'll play a critical role in supporting construction projects from preconstruction through completion. What You'll Do

As a Project Engineer, you will support the Project Manager in all aspects of construction management, including:

  • Assisting with project planning, coordination, and execution
  • Performing quantity takeoffs and estimating support
  • Soliciting and evaluating vendor and subcontractor quotations
  • Assisting in the preparation of project estimates and proposals
  • Conducting site visits and supporting project oversight
  • Managing and tracking RFIs, submittals, and plan revisions
  • Coordinating material procurement and delivery schedules
  • Monitoring project costs and assisting with budget tracking
  • Supporting safety initiatives and jobsite compliance
  • Assisting with change order management and project documentation


What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

  • 0โ€“5 years of construction, engineering, or project coordination experience
  • Experience reviewing construction drawings, plans, and specifications
  • Understanding of RFIs, submittals, and document control processes
  • Knowledge of estimating principles and quantity takeoffs
  • Familiarity with change order management processes
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field preferred
  • Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record
