Project Coordinator - Section 3 Housing

Position Summary
Timberline Construction Group is seeking an organized and dependable Project Coordinator to support housing, construction, and community development projects in California.
This full-time, on-site position will work closely with project managers, compliance teams, subcontractors, residents, utility companies, workforce agencies, and public partners to coordinate project activities, maintain documentation, support Section 3 compliance, and help keep project requirements organized and on track.
Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and maintain project documentation, correspondence, and reporting.
  • Support HUD Section 3 compliance, including resident certifications, contractor documentation, hiring records, workforce tracking, and outreach logs.
  • Assist with HUD, HCD, and local program reporting requirements.
  • Track workforce hours, procurement activity, and Section 3 business participation.
  • Coordinate project schedules, meetings, follow-up items, and documentation.
  • Prepare meeting agendas, minutes, project updates, and reports.
  • Assist with procurement packets, bid documents, compliance submissions, and project forms.
  • Coordinate communication with subcontractors, residents, applicants, utility companies, workforce agencies, and community partners.
  • Assist with 811 dig tickets, utility coordination, and customer follow-up as needed.
  • Maintain accurate and organized digital and physical project records.
  • Provide general project support to help ensure deadlines, documentation, and compliance requirements are met.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 2 years of project coordination, administrative, or construction support experience.
  • Experience with HUD Section 3 requirements, documentation, workforce tracking, reporting, or compliance is required.
  • Experience in construction, affordable housing, community development, or public agency programs preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and general document management.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and follow-up skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and maintain accurate records.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.
