Job description

Part time OR Full time opportunity!

High Mountain Timber has been in operation in the heart of the Appalachian Mountains in Dailey, WV since 2002. We purchase standing timber, timber land, cut logs, develop, and manage commercial property. We also provide an array of bulk mulch and split firewood options.

This specific position will start out by fulfilling all our firewood orders. Our top priority when hiring is to keep our employees long term and do provide several growth path opportunities.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Wrap and fulfill orders of bundled firewood. .
  • Split firewood and assist loading trucks. 
  • Operate heavy equipment.
  • When there's downtime or when needed, sweep the garage, clean machines, and anything else needed to help keep production flowing.

Job Requirements:

  • MUST live in Elkins/Dailey/Beverly/Valley Bend or Head/or surrounding area ~OR~ be comfortable with a commute to Dailey, WV.
  • MUST be able to work M-F from 8:00am to 5:00pm.
  • Preferably be proficient in running wheel loaders.
  • Preferably be able to operate a skid steer.
  • Preferably be able to run a chain saw at an expert level.
  • Knuckle boom loader experience preferred but not required.
  • Previous logging or log yard labor experience is highly preferred.
  • Ability to manage time and multi-task effectively to fulfill orders in a timely manner.
  • MUST have a valid driver's license & own method of transportation.
  • The ability to pick up 50+lbs throughout the day is required for all positions.
