Employee performs indoor shop fabrication and preparation of heavy timber and wood products in a controlled warehouse environment. Work is limited to shop operations and does not include on-site building construction, structural erection, roofing, or field framing.
Primary Duties
Measure, mark, cut, sand, and finish dimensional lumber and heavy timber components
Read and follow shop drawings and cut lists
Operate stationary woodworking equipment (table saw, miter saw, band saw, drill press, planer, sander)
Install pre-engineered hardware and steel connection components into wood members
Stage, organize, and palletize finished materials for shipment
Operate forklift or pallet jack for material handling inside warehouse or yard area
Maintain shop cleanliness and dust control
Perform routine maintenance on shop tools and equipment

Employee does NOT perform:
On-site framing or carpentry at construction projects
Roofing work
Structural steel erection
Scaffold work
Concrete work
Excavation
Demolition
Electrical or plumbing installation
Millwright or industrial machinery installation
Work is performed primarily at the company’s warehouse facility.

Stationary woodworking equipment
Hand tools (drills, impact drivers, chisels, layout tools)
Forklift (as needed)
Air compressors and pneumatic tools
Physical Requirements
Frequent standing and walking
Lifting up to 100 lbs with assistance for heavier materials
Repetitive hand and arm movements
Bending, kneeling, and material positioning
Exposure to wood dust and noise from equipment
Use of PPE including eye protection, hearing protection, gloves, and dust masks
Work Environment
Indoor warehouse setting (approximately 4,000 SF facility with attached yard area)
No regular field installation work
No high-elevation structural erection
