Job Title: Heavy Machine Operator

The Heavy Machine Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of heavy machinery in forest timber removal projects. Job Summary

• Operates heavy power equipment, including processors, dozers, and feller bunchers, to facilitate timber removal and land clearing.

General Accountabilities

• Operates and maintains heavy machinery for timber removal operations, ensuring it functions optimally.
• Performs basic maintenance and minor repairs on processors, dozers, and feller bunchers.
• Adheres to all safety protocols and health standards to ensure a safe working environment.
• Loads and transports dirt, rocks, timber, and other materials as needed for disposal or processing.
• Drives and maneuvers equipment to clear topsoil, rocks, and vegetation efficiently.
• Coordinates machinery actions to ensure safe and effective movement of loads.

Job Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience: Minimum of one year of relevant experience; completion of a heavy machinery operator apprenticeship program is preferred.
• Licenses/Certifications: Class A commercial driver's license.
