Responsibilities
The Maintenance Mechanic shall have the ability to perform general maintenance and repair of equipment and building requiring practical skill and knowledge in such trades as HVAC, plumbing, electrical, painting, and carpentry work. Must be flexible.
Salary: $30.00 per hour. Hours: Monday-Friday 7:00 am to 3:30 pm.
Repairs and maintenance of:
  • Perform general maintenance on equipment and machinery
  • Replace ballast, electrical receptacles, wires, switches, fixtures, and motors
  • Basic plumbing, replace flush valve, wax ring, leaks, sinks, etc.
  • Repair or replace sinks, water coolers, and toilets
  • Patch minor holes and cracks in walls or ceilings using plaster or compound
  • Painting of structures and equipment
  • Replace damaged ceiling and floor tiles
  • Repair doors and install door locks
  • Replace broken window panes
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications
What we are looking for in your resume:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Three (3) years' of experience within the past five (5) years as a Maintenance Mechanic in a commercial or government building
  • CFC/EPA certification preferred
  • Must possess ability to identify common causes of building system failures
  • Must possess ability to conduct routine testing procedures
  • Good computer skills
  • Meet project assignments on time
  • Must possess ability work on several assignments simultaneously and prioritize work
