Job Summary:

  • Perform general repairs including patching walls, painting, and simple tasks (e.g., replacing fixtures or switches).
  • Replace light bulbs, swap out damaged ceiling tiles, and install grip/tread on stairs as needed.
  • Use basic hand tools confidently for routine maintenance, minor carpentry, fixture installation, and general repair tasks.
  • Apply caulking around windows, doors, and fixtures to ensure proper sealing and maintenance.
  • Assist with preventative maintenance by cleaning parts, lubricating equipment, and supporting routine inspections.
  • Monitor boiler operations and humidity levels; promptly alert engineering staff to any irregularities or issues.
  • Support maintenance team members with larger repair projects while adhering to all safety standards and company procedures.
  • This is a hands-on maintenance position requiring regular movement, standing, bending, lifting, and working with tools.
  • Position may require assisting with larger repair and maintenance projects as needed.


Responsibilities:

  • Assist with larger maintenance projects while following all safety standards and company procedures.


Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in general maintenance, building maintenance, or a related field preferred.
  • Knowledge of basic repair, painting, minor carpentry, and preventative maintenance.
  • Comfortable using basic hand and power tools.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and address routine maintenance issues.
  • Ability to follow safety procedures and company policies.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to identify and report maintenance concerns.
  • Ability to work independently as well as assist with larger projects as part of a team.
  • Candidate must be comfortable working in a facility/building maintenance environment.
  • Must be able to respond to maintenance issues and communicate concerns promptly to the appropriate Engineering staff.
  • Safety procedures and company policies must be followed at all times.
  • Previous experience in a hotel, apartment, commercial building, or similar facility is a plus.
  • Must have reliable attendance and be dependable.
