Job description

Duties

Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately fabricate components

Perform MIG (Metal Inert Gas), TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas), FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding), and other welding techniques to join metals according to specifications

Use hand tools, power tools, plasma cutters, press brake machines, and sheet metal equipment to shape and assemble parts

Measure materials precisely with calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments to ensure accuracy

Operate rigging equipment and forklifts safely for material handling and assembly tasks

Follow all safety protocols in accordance with ASME codes & standards while maintaining a clean and organized work area

Requirements

Proven experience with hands-on fabrication and welding tasks

Proficiency in MIG welding processes

Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately

Familiarity with schematics, basic math skills for measurements and calculations, and the use of hand tools and power tools

Experience working with sheet metal, ductwork fabrication, or similar manufacturing environments

Knowledge of ASME codes & standards related to welding and fabrication practices

Ability to operate forklifts safely; crane experience is a plus

Strong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving skills in a fast-paced setting
