POSITION SUMMARY
St. Vincent de Paul is seeking a self-starter who would like to kick start their career in a fun and dynamic work environment. Do you enjoy working in a collaborative environment and get a sense of satisfaction knowing that your efforts help people in need? If so, our busy thrift store in Chamblee, GA is looking for you! Your excellent customer service skills, keen eye for detail and friendly, hard-working demeanor will make you stand out. As the Part Time Stock Associate, you will be responsible for:
  • Receive, unload, and inspect incoming merchandise
  • Remove damaged, expired, or defective merchandise and report issues to management
  • Operate stoking equipment safely
  • Pricing merchandise in accordance with established procedures
  • Providing great experience for customers while donating, shopping and checking-out purchases.
  • Maintaining a clean and orderly store and processing environment
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Management
We are looking for people who:
  • Comfortable with physical work, including moving furniture
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, squat, and climb for extended periods
  • Ability to push and pull carts or pallet jacks
  • Enjoy detailed oriented work
  • Are diligent and hard working
  • Organized
  • Can go above and beyond to meet the needs of customers
  • Reliable and on time
  • Previous retail and cash handling experience is a plus
This is a part-time position (2 – 3 days per week, plus weekends). The selected individual must be available between 10:00 am – 6:00 pm Monday – Sunday. This is an active job; frequent walking, standing, bending, lifting and squatting will be a part of the daily routine. Must be able to lift to 50 pounds with or without accommodation.
