Job description

The Sales Associate will  be responsible to perform a wide variety of duties in the store and the production area. They will maintain order, create and sustain a pleasant and hospitable work environment, and maintain good customer relationships.


  • Provide courteous, efficient service to all customers and donors.
  • Assist with daily store operations including cashiering, stocking, sorting, pricing, and sales floor upkeep.
  • Handle donations with care, ensuring items are sorted, tagged, and placed on the sales floor in proper categories and color order.
  • Maintain merchandise displays and follow the rag-out calendar to rotate stock.
  • Assist in cleaning and maintaining a safe, clutter-free store environment.
  • Follow all cash handling, security, and operational procedures.
  • Report theft, customer concerns, injuries, or unsafe conditions to management immediately.
  • Provide guidance to community service workers and volunteers as directed by the Supervisor.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Store Manager, Warehouse Supervisor, or Corps Officer.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • High School Diploma preferred

 

 SKILLS AND COMPETENICIES

  • Ability to follow instructions, work independently, and manage multiple tasks.
  • Good communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to lift, carry, and move donations and merchandise as required.
  • Flexibility to assist across store functions (cashier, sorting, stocking, cleaning).
