Your Role

Seeking a Senior Consultant with hands-on experience supporting Engineering and R&D transformation programs, including PLM, model-based engineering, digital thread, digital twin, and related digital engineering initiatives. This role is ideal for someone who can combine engineering domain knowledge with consulting skills to assess current-state processes, define improvement opportunities, translate technical requirements into business value, and help clients accelerate their Digital Transformation agenda as part of the Intelligent Industry team.

The Digital Continuity Team

Capgemini's Digital Continuity team helps clients transform its Engineering & R&D capabilities. We help to connect dots across the broader organization value chain including sale/marketing, R&D, Engineering, manufacturing, operations and aftersales to drive efficiency, improve flexibility, and increase responsiveness through proactive insights and decision-making. A valued driven approach, we advise and manage transformational solutions for our clients. We provide the consulting to strategize, plan and execute on digital technologies, advanced analytics, and industry-specific solutions. Our key offerings include S/W driven transformation, Digital Continuity across the organization and R&D transformation.

Your Role

  • Contribute to engineering and digital transformation programs across Engineering and R&D functions, particularly within Manufacturing, Automotive, and Aerospace & Defense environments
  • Support delivery of model-based initiatives, including Model-Based Engineering (MBE), Model-Based Enterprise (MBE), PLM, MBSE, digital twins, and digital thread solutions
  • Collaborate as a team player to successfully execute engineering transformation projects for clients
  • Support new business development efforts by contributing to proposals, client presentations, and contract pursuits
  • Drive innovation in products and technologies by staying current with industry trends, tools, and advancements
  • Communicate complex technical concepts clearly and effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Use data, analytics, and AI-enabled insights to optimize engineering performance and support intelligent decision-making
  • Collaborate with senior stakeholders to shape digital roadmaps and define future-state operating models for engineering organizations
  • Travel up to ~50% on average, including onsite work at client locations as required
Qualifications and Experience

Must Have

  • 5-8+ years of experience in digital engineering, software delivery, or technology consulting, with a track record of owning and delivering workstreams
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering (Mechanical, Electrical/Electronics, Aerospace, Computer Science), Information Systems, or related field
  • Experience in transformation programs within Engineering or R&D, for Manufacturing, Automotive or A&D
  • Strong understanding of the value driven by MBE, PLM, MBSE solutions/approach
  • Understanding of the PLM processes
  • Experience around model-based engineering, model-based enterprise, digital twins, digital thread areas
  • Proven ability to solve complex business problems using structured thinking, data, and technology-enabled approaches
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with experience interfacing with both technical and business audiences

Nice to Have

  • MBA or equivalent advanced degree (preferred)
  • Exposure to AI/GenAI use cases in software engineering, such as code generation, intelligent automation, or predictive analytics
  • Experience in consulting or advisory roles, including client-facing delivery and proposal development
  • Familiarity with industry-specific digital engineering trends (e.g., platform ecosystems, product-centric delivery models)
  • Contributions to thought leadership (white papers, internal assets, accelerators) or engineering innovation initiatives

The base compensation range for this role in the posted location is: $105,600 - $199,480

In addition to base salary, this role may be eligible for additional compensation such as variable incentives, bonuses, or commissions, depending on the position and applicable laws.
