Job description

A Thread Roller is responsible for setting up and operating machines to create threaded components from metal workpieces, ensuring precision and quality throughout the manufacturing process.


This position starts between $19-$24 per hour based on experience.


Key Responsibilities

1. Machine Setup and Operation: Set up and operate one or more automatic thread rolling machines to form external and internal screw threads on metal workpieces. This includes installing specified roll-threading dies and adjusting the distance between dies to set the pressure on the workpieces.

2. Quality Control: Measure finished products using tools such as micrometers and thread gauges to ensure they meet specified dimensions. Adjust dies and machine settings as necessary to maintain quality standards.

3. Material Handling: Fill the feed mechanism with stock or manually feed metal blanks into the machine. Monitor the operation to ensure a continuous supply of materials.
