Machine Operator I – 3rd Shift
Location: San Diego, CA 92121
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 3rd Shift
In this position, you will:
- Operate machinery according to Standard Work and safety procedures.
- Inspect products using precision measuring tools such as calipers, depth gages, thread gages, and pin gages.
- Ensure products meet drawing specifications and AQL quality standards.
- Participate in Lean manufacturing activities, including 5S, SQDCC, Hour-by-Hour Charts, and Lean Engagement.
- Identify and report equipment, material, or quality issues to the Team Leader/Supervisor.
- Perform basic operator maintenance and equipment checks.
- Sort and dispose of scrap and recyclable materials according to procedures.
- Frequently lift and move up to 50 lbs. and perform standing, walking, bending, crouching, kneeling, reaching, and climbing.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
You have:
- Ability to read, write, and follow written instructions.
- High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Up to 6 months of manufacturing experience.
- CNC machine operator experience is a plus.
- Ability to use basic precision measuring tools such as calipers and gages.
- Ability to work safely and follow quality procedures.
- Willingness to learn and work in a Lean manufacturing environment.
Important ITAR Requirement:
The San Diego facility is ITAR-controlled. Candidates must qualify as a “U.S. Person” under 22 C.F.R. § 120.15.
