Job description

Leapros Skilled Trades is actively hiring Pipefitter in Ft Mill, SC. The Pipefitter will support a shutdown project by installing, measuring, cutting, and repairing mechanical piping systems in a commercial or industrial environment. The ideal candidate is proficient in soldering, brazing, and working with carbon steel pipe up to 24 inches while ensuring all installations meet safety and functionality standards.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $25 to $35 Per Hour BOE

Responsibilities:

  • Install, measure, cut, and repair mechanical piping systems according to project specifications.
  • Perform soldering, brazing, threading, and grooving of pipe for various system applications.
  • Install pipe hangers and support structures for carbon steel piping systems up to 24 inches in diameter.
  • Conduct testing on pipe systems to verify safety, integrity, and functionality.
  • Communicate professionally with management and the project superintendent regarding progress and issues.
  • Follow all site-specific safety policies and procedures to ensure a compliant work environment.
  • Observe, report, and correct any unsafe work conditions immediately.
  • Collaborate with other trades and workers to ensure the project is completed on schedule.

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience as a Pipefitter on industrial or commercial shutdown projects.
  • Proficiency in threading, grooving, soldering, and brazing mechanical piping.
  • Specific experience working with carbon steel pipe up to 24 inches.
  • Ability to accurately measure and cut pipe based on project requirements.
  • Proven ability to read and interpret mechanical requirements and system layouts.

Physical Requirements:
