We are seeking a motivated Piping Apprentice to join our growing team. This is an entry-level to early career position ideal for individuals looking to build a long-term career in the HVAC and plumbing trades. You will work alongside experienced journeymen and foremen to learn installation, fabrication, and maintenance of piping systems in commercial environments.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  • Assist in installing commercial piping systems (hydronic, chilled water, steam, gas, and plumbing systems)
  • Support HVAC equipment installations, including piping connections
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and project specifications (with training)
  • Measure, cut, thread, and assemble piping materials
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and worksite cleanliness
  • Follow all company safety policies and OSHA guidelines
  • Assist with job site layout and material handling
  • Participate in on-the-job training and apprenticeship coursework

Minimum Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Enrollment in or willingness to join a recognized apprenticeship program preferred
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and interest in construction/trades
  • Ability to read a tape measure and perform basic math
  • Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
  • Ability to work in physically demanding environments (lifting, climbing, bending)
  • Reliable transportation to job sites
  • OSHA 10 certification (preferred, not required)

  • Mechanical Aptitude โ€“ Ability to understand how piping, HVAC, and plumbing systems function
  • Basic Math Skills โ€“ Comfortable with measurements, fractions, and calculations for cutting and fitting pipe

  • Blueprint Awareness โ€“ Basic understanding of construction drawings or willingness to learn how to read them
  • Attention to Detail โ€“ Precise measuring, cutting, and assembly to ensure quality and safety
