At TelCom Construction, LLC, as a Telecom Drill Bores Operator, you will run Horizontal Directional Drilling (HDD) rigs to install underground conduit and fiber optic cables without digging open trenches to ensure communication lines can be laid underneath roads, sidewalks, and landscaped areas without disrupting the surface.

What you'll do
  • Determine bore path and locate utilities
  • Safely operate and control all necessary equipment to complete assigned tasks
  • Verify existing utilities by potholing to determine bore path
  • Utilize "Mud" mixing systems
  • Develop and maintain a bore schedule
  • Responsible for site set-up, clean-up, and equipment maintenance
  • Perform work in all weather conditions
  • Other duties as assigned

What you'll need
  • To be 18 years of age or older
  • Authorization to work in the United States for this company
  • High School Diploma, GED equivalent, or relevant work experience
  • Valid state driver's license (cannot be Provisional), including an acceptable driving record
  • Valid Class A Commercial driver's license with tanker endorsement or willingness to obtain it
  • Experience with drilling equipment, including their capabilities, limitations, and drill setup and design processes

Physical abilities & exposures
  • Routinely: work with arms above shoulder level, in confined space and remote locations, operate vehicle and heavy machinery, squeeze, fine hand motion, bend, stoop, stand, walk, climb stairs and lift greater than 55 pounds
  • Occasionally: use ladder, keyboard and mouse
