More About the Tax Administrative Assistant Role:
We are currently seeking an experienced professional looking to take that next step in advancing their career path by accepting the engaging and fulfilling role as a Tax Administrative Assistant in our Tallahassee office location. The Tax Administrative Assistant will provide administrative support to our Tax Shareholders and department team. The ideal candidate for this role will be extremely detail-oriented, organized, technology savvy, possess strong verbal and written communication skills, demonstrates excellent customer service skills, interacts professionally, and has strong problem-solving skills.

  • Has an Associate's Degree (Bachelor's Degree preferred)
  • Has at least two years of professional administrative experience (can include office management, paralegal, or administrative assistant)
  • You are proficient with the use of a variety of computer software applications utilized in word processing, spreadsheets, databases, and presentations (Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Adobe)
  • Possess excellent communications skills with the ability to professionally interact and communicate with individuals at all levels, inside and outside of the firm
  • Possess great critical thinking skills, making sound decisions with minimal supervision
  • Extremely organized with a strong sense of attention-to-detail
  • Great familiarity with the Internet and doing effective searches
  • Experienced using office equipment including computers, printers, copiers, and scanners
  • Flexibility to work overtime, typically during peak season
  • Enjoy working both independently and as part of a team

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Assist with client information intake, including scanning, organizing, and assembling tax documents and completed returns for client delivery and filing
  • Coordinate and perform operational tasks such as making bank deposits, and preparing certified mail and package shipments in accordance with firm procedures
  • Manage and provide advanced administrative support to include preparation of client financial statements, engagement letters, internal and external memoranda, and general correspondence
  • Coordinate travel arrangements and conference registrations for the Tax Department
  • Provide direct assistance to Shareholders (and other members of the team as needed)
  • Other duties as assigned
