Job description

OPERATING ENGINEER

Brookwood Management Partners, LLC, an affiliate of Brookwood Financial Partners, LLC, (“Brookwood”), which is a leading private equity real estate investment firm, seeks an Operating Engineer to oversee two, first-class office buildings in Boca Raton, FL.

Position Responsibilities

The Operating Engineer is responsible for performing maintenance work in the operation of a first-class multi-tenant suburban office property. Duties include, but are not limited to the installation, repair, maintenance, monitoring and improvement of all building structures and HVAC, plumbing, electrical, hardware and life safety equipment. The Operating Engineer reports to the Chief Engineer.

Representative Duties

  • Operate and monitor building equipment and systems
  • Make routine repairs and adjustments to HVAC, electrical, hardware and plumbing equipment
  • Respond to tenant service requests in a timely and professional manner ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction
  • Maintain the property in a clean and safe condition at all times
  • Conduct routine inspections and readings
  • Provide access to and monitor vendors for compliance with building operating standards and procedures
  • Assist with monitoring, managing and controlling of building energy consumption
  • Perform other miscellaneous maintenance and small project tasks
  • Collaborate with property management staff on all of the above duties

Qualifications

The position requires a minimum of three years of experience in an office building environment and a minimum of a two-year trade school certificate emphasizing HVAC, electrical, life safety and building control systems. Strong hands-on trouble shooting and repair skills are essential.
